Yoga Nidra Meditation:
Yoga Nidra allows those who practice inducing a state of meditation (theta waves in the brain). It is an ancient yogic practice that heightens awareness while creating a sleep-like state of relaxation. These polar states of consciousness combined will guide you into the depths of self, and beyond the physical. This meditative state promotes rest and repair of the body on a cellular level, quiets the mind, and activates the body's self-healing powers as your consciousness connects to the source of life. Allow yourself to bathe in this source, this healing energy, during this deep state of relaxation and experience heightened peace!
We will be sitting and lying down. This is not a physical yoga flow.
Please have necessary items of support and comfort such as blankets to keep a comfortable temperature (as your body temp may lower), pillows for the head and/or knees to support the lower back lying down in savasana, and whatever else you like for relaxation and comfort! This is YOUR time for rest and relaxation! Treat yourself to whatever you like for this self-care pm ritual.
